Serving the Harford County Detention Center
Join a team dedicated to bringing hope, healing, and the transforming love of Christ to those who are seeking a fresh start. Whether helping lead a study, mentoring, supporting with administration, or praying, every volunteer helps make a lasting impact! Most volunteers have no prior experience in prison ministry. We exist to train, support, and equip people to live out Jesus' words in Matthew 25:36: “I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
· Lead a Group Meeting
Meet once a week to faciltate a group study with a partner for learning God's principles of following Christ in everyday living using the Overcomers in Christ manual or the 33 Series presentations.
Times are 1:30 - 3:00 or 6:30 - 8:00 PM.
Security Clearance Required
· One-on-One Mentor
Build relationship with an inmate through encouragement, conversation, prayer, and spiritual guidance.
(Meeting times are at your discretion and detention center rules)

· Worship Service Volunteer
Help lead or support Saturday night worship services by welcoming participants, sharing a testimony, scripture, assisting with music, or serving alongside the ministry team.
Meets: 6:15 PM.

· Prayer Partner
Support the ministry through prayer for inmates, their families, Detention Center staff and the Harford County Christian Jail Ministry.
· Administration Support
Help prepare study materials, organize resources, maintain the website, coordinate volunteers, support Christmas outreach initiatives, assist with financial administration, and provide behind-the-scenes support for ministry operations. No specified meetings.
